man thanks so much for this “short” podcast today.
that word about sons only being able to accept the sabbath rest really hit a chord in me. i don’t know everything there is about being a son, I think I’ll continue learning my whole life, but I often feel like a slave to getting things done. whether that be washing dishes, straightening up the house, working and even walking my dogs. it’s hard for me to rest, and when I do I really find myself anxious to get something done. i pray that God would reveal himself more to me and how to be more his son, and less a slave to my own devices.
i also wanted to thank you for including that last bit of the song “you have redeemed my soul” in there. i have to agree also with the guy that spoke about how when you sing there is this pure/raw sound resounding in people’s hearts, which is coming from the Father’s heart.
